Bo Wiget, born and raised in eastern Switzerland, is a cellist and composer. He receives commissions for compositions and arrangements from various soloists, ensembles and choirs (Sing-Akademie zu Berlin, Avi Avital, Asya Fateyeva, Kammersymphonie Berlin, Staats- und Domchor Berlin, argovia philharmonics, to name just a few) and composes numerous soundtracks for radio plays. With the baroque ensemble lautten compagney Berlin, he realizes many crossover projects as an arranger and cellist. Bo Wiget also performs with classical, jazz and world musicians, as well as with improvisational musicians. Among others, with the experimental duo Archetti/Wiget with the guitarist and visual artist Luigi Archetti, the Quartetto Loco (avant-folk) or with musicians such as Tetuzi Akiyama, Iva Bittovà, Dominik Blum, Jan Galega Brönnimann, Christof Dienz, Asya Fateyeva, Hanna Herfurtner, Hans-Joachim Irmler, Simone Keller, Simon Lens ki, Matthias Loibner, Gaurav Mazumdar, Lucas Niggli, Zeena Parkins, Martin Schütz, Günter Baby Sommer, Selah Sue, Taku Sugimoto, Christian Weber, Xu Fengxia and many others. Bo Wiget's concerts and festival appearances take him throughout Europe and to Japan. He works as a theater musician at numerous theaters in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries.
