Bei den vier Sinfonien GWV 574, 575, 607 und 608 handelt es sich eigentlich um Doppelkonzerte für 2 Bratschen. Die Hörner sind nicht obligat, d.h. sie haben keine solistische, sondern lediglich harmoniefüllende Funktion.
