The bassoonist and editor Helge Bartholomäus studied at the Cologne State Academy of Music.
In 1998 he founded the chamber music series «Der Klang der Welt in kammermusikalischen Impressionen», which he conducted with great success as an honorary organizer and dramaturgically responsible person. He is responsible for the complete arrangement of the first «Opera Pasticcio», Manon Lescaut, which premiered in Luxembourg in June 2017.
