Simonide Braconi(1971)

Simonide Braconi is an Italian violist and composer. Among his teachers are Esposito, Kashkashian and Bashmet. As a winner of several competitions (Lionel Tertis competition in 1994, special price of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft in Köln), he has collaborated with many orchestras, including the Berliner Philharmoniker. Braconi's compositional oeuvre includes several works for smaller chamber music line-ups, often with viola.
